3-D Computer Animation by Charles Csuri

This book chapter by one of the founders of computer art would have a significant impact on the development of 3D computer graphics in the coming decades. The work “emphasizes the ideas and concepts that give 3-D computer animation its special character and quality.” Csuri “describes the technique of using a refresh buffer to display pictures in computer graphics.” This and other work exemplifies SIGGRAPH’s description of Csuri: “His research and artistic vision led to advances in software that created new artistic tools for 3D computer graphics, computer animation, gaming and 3d printing – all in advance of their broad commercial applications.”
