In the follow-up companion to the seminal Digital Art, Paul’s A Companion to Digital Art offered a comprehensive exploration of digital art’s evolution, aesthetics and politics. Featuring insights from both established experts and emerging scholars, the book tackled critical and theoretical issues while addressing the practical challenges of presenting, documenting, and preserving digital art amid rapid technological changes. Edited by Paul, Professor Emerita at the New School and then-Adjunct Curator at the Whitney Museum, the companion reflects a deep appreciation of digital art’s technical intricacies and its dynamic growth. It was irreplaceable to this author’s understanding of the field.
