Alan Turing Proposes the Turing Test

Originally called the imitation game, the Turing test is meant to determine whether a computer or AI can think like a human being. The test consists of a human interviewing both a person and machine. The machine passes the Turing test if the interviewer cannot correctly identify which is the machine and which is the person.
