A member of Jeffrey Steele’s Systems Group (1969) and a former member of the British Constructivists, Wise was a prominent example of a systems artist, like Vera Molnar, moving from systematic thinking to programmed art with computers. This work was made by creating color computerized images with symmetrical forms and is featured in Frank Popper’s Art of the Electronic Age. Wise continued working with material forms throughout her career as well.
