Der Blaue Reiter Exhibition

The radical and provocative first exhibition of the Blue Rider Group, founded by Wassily Kandinsky and Franz Marc, was a significant development in the abstraction of art. Influenced by Fauvism especially, the works emphasized color, form and spirituality over artistic tradition.
