June’s impressive Digital Art Mile returned to Basel for a second year. ArtMeta’s Roger Haas and Georg Bak organized the multi-day conference alongside Art Basel, based at Space25 and Kult.Kino, both on side streets between the main fair and the river. The event likely delivered the year’s densest concentration of prestigious panels and speakers.

These sessions addressed the digital art market, museum collecting and infrastructure, corporate and private collections, and generative art and AI. Speakers ranged from Christiane Paul, Hito Steyerl and Regina Harsanyi to Sougwen Chung.

The program combined panels with networking and published recordings of the talks. A dedicated Generative Art and AI day was hosted by Le Random with ArtReview. Le Random’s panel with Sougwen Chung as well as Sofia Crespo and Feileacan McCormick from Entangled Others can be found on YouTube.
