An intricate field of small black and gray squares and fine horizontal lines fills Ix Shells’s Dreaming at Dusk.

In May, the self-taught coder Yard created the generative work Dreaming at Dusk for an NFT auction supporting the Tor Project. The artwork, derived from the private key of the first onion service, raised 500 ETH (approximately $2 million USD), marking a historic moment for both the artist and the organization. The work commemorates a piece of Internet history, harkening back to the days of net.art. The sale made Yard the highest-selling woman NFT artist on Foundation.
