Exhibition by 31 Women at Peggy Guggenheim’s The Art of this Century

Juried by Peggy Guggenheim and Marcel Duchamp, the exhibition was one of the first at Guggenheim’s The Art of this Century. The all-woman exhibition was a direct response to the male-dominated art scene and provided a platform for female artists to showcase their works. The show highlighted the critical role that female artists played in the development of Surrealism and abstract art.
