Gutai Movement in Japan

Founded by Jiro Yoshihara, Gutai was a radically experimental movement even by today’s standards. Its experimental approach to art-making combined with its interest in technology, participation and conceptual art paved the way for later artists in Japan to explore generative processes and techniques.
