Between 1965 and 1971, the lumino-kinetic cybernetic sculptor Seawright created light and sound mechanical installations that were both emblematic of the techo-spirit of the time as well as deeply forward looking, anticipating interactive digital installations of two to three decades later. Network III, displayed at the Walker Art Center, Minneapolis, consisted of floor sensors that when stood upon activated overhead lights producing patterns.
