Kathleen and Arthur Breitman Propose Tezos

Arthur Breitman, writing as L.M Goodman, released two Tezos papers in 2014 that proposed and described the Tezos blockchain for the first time. The chain would go on to ICO in 2017 and play a significant role in the history of NFTs with its grassroots digital art community beginning with HEN in early 2021. Seven years before Tezos would greatly influence digital art and NFTs, Breitman’s whitepaper detailed a new decentralized ledger utilizing—like Vitalik Buterin’s Ethereum—“smart contracts” to automate and secure digital agreements. Unlike Ethereum, Tezos was Their vision for Tezos included features for seamless upgrades and improved security measures, setting it apart from prominent blockchain projects by avoiding hard forks through on-chain governance.
