One of the earliest commercial NFT platforms, along with SuperRare, R.A.R.E (Rare Art Registry and Exchange) Art Labs was founded, introducing the R.A.R.E Protocol, one of the earliest crypto-economies for the digital art world. Comprising artists, developers and FinTech entrepreneurs, R.A.R.E aimed to revolutionize the relationship between art and commerce by enabling artists to monetize their digital works through blockchain verification. The R.A.R.E Protocol facilitates direct sales of digital art, allows fans to purchase verified works, and creates a marketplace for trading these digital goods. The launch positioned R.A.R.E as a pioneer in applying blockchain technology to create scarcity and value in digital art.
