An installation view of the exhibition, not a single work in isolation: Lozano-Hemmer's Pulse Topology filling a blacked-out gallery with thousands of suspended dimmable bulbs pulsing at visitors' heart rates, their light pooling on the polished floor.

In September, Lozano-Hemmer had his first solo exhibition at Pace since joining the gallery. Common Measures featured three major installations showcasing his use of digital technologies, including AI, robotics and projection mapping. Lozano-Hemmer’s poetic work utilizes software and systems to engage audiences in interactive experiences that explore social, political and scientific themes. This exhibition continued his exploration of the intersection between architecture and performance, drawing on traditions of public-facing work in the vein of GRAV, phantasmagoria and animatronics.
