The Dinner Party by Judy Chicago

A landmark work of feminist art made from 1974 to 1979, this installation consists of a large, triangular shaped banquet table set with symbolic place settings representing 39 historically significant women. The work challenges the preciousness and permanence of fine art while its mixed media and collaborative, conceptual nature mirror trends in digital art.
