This New Tendencies magazine published by Zagreb City Galleries would release nine editions from 1968-1972.

The Zagreb group would go on to organize the iconic Tendencies 4 in 1969. 1968 saw the release of “Bit No. 1: The Theory of Information and the New Aesthetics,” which closely examined the thoughts of Max Bense and Abraham Moles.

“Bit No. 2: Computers and Visual Research” was also released in 1968 and featured the writings of A. Michael Noll, Herbert Franke, Hiroshi Kawano, Georg Nees, Frieder Nake and Leslie Mezei among others. The magazine serves a critical link between the New Tendencies movement and computer-generated art.
