In December, following the Peer to Peer online exhibition, the Buffalo AKG acquired tokenized editions of all sixteen featured artworks, marking the first major NFT collection in a U.S. art museum. Curated by Dr. Tina Rivers Ryan, the exhibition highlighted global artists exploring blockchain technology, reinforcing the museum’s 160-year legacy of engaging with emerging artistic movements. The acquisition includes works by LaTurbo Avedon, Mitchell F. Chan, Entangled Others, Simon Denny, Amir H. Fallah and others, cementing Buffalo AKG’s role in the acceptance of creative exploration in emerging technologies.
