objkt.com Founded

Co-founded by Timothy Mc Alister and launched as an NFT platform on the Tezos blockchain, objkt.com quickly becoming the largest digital art marketplace for NFTs on Tezos, akin to OpenSea on Ethereum. Initially starting as an auction site, it expanded into a full marketplace, especially after HEN’s usability challenges and instability following the departure of its founder. One of the earliest releases was a collaboration with artist and illustrator George Goodwin on the early Tezos PFP project Tezzards, helping to congeal the early Tezos art community. The platform played a pivotal role in shaping the Tezos art ecosystem, providing a decentralized space for artists and collectors to engage, mint, trade and showcase their work.
