The first English-language book about the Russian avant-garde covers the Constructivist and Suprematist movements of the early twentieth-century. The book brought more attention to these movements, particularly outside of Russia, and made their techniques more commonly known. The book, therefore, was an important influence on the Minimalism movement with artists such as Flavin, Morris and Judd all referencing Tatlin, Rodchenko and/or Malevich in their careers.
