Jikken Kobo Begins

Meaning “Experimental Workshop” in English, Jikken Kobo was a radically experimental Japanese art collective, with a highly Deleuzian approach to art and the technology of the time. They created groundbreaking works that integrated technology, music, performance and visual art, using electronic devices and new media to create innovative and immersive experiences for their audiences. At the time in the early ’50s, this was one of the most radical art movements in the world.
