From 1970-1974 Radical Software, founded by Beryl Korot and Phyllis Gershuny with Ira Schneider as co-originator, was instrumental in the development and detailing of emerging trends in video, computer and media art. The periodical, itself heavily influenced by cybernetics, devoted itself to the burgeoning field of video art helped to give a voice to the new movement, while also embracing technology’s use in art at a time when that was become less popular.
