May saw another legendary blockchain art event with the first annual Contemporary and Digital Art Fair (CADAF) in New York City. The show itself featured Artxcode’s show of algorithmic work by then-essentially unknown artists Dmitri Cherniak and Tyler Hobbs. The pair would make names for themselves the following decade and chapter with their releases on Art Blocks. Other artists whose work has been exhibited include Kevin Abosch. Panelists at the event were impressive, including Ania Catherine and Dejha Ti from Operator, Jason Bailey (Artnome), John Watkinson and Le Random advisor Georg Bak.
