Generative Art Timeline · Chapter 9: AI Era (2010s)

hello world by Kazumasa Teshigawara (qubibi)

Shown at the Museum of Digital Arts (MuDA) in Zurich several years later in 2017 and generating animated imagery in real-time, hello world explores the visual language of primordial beginnings. Its fluctuating forms mimic life, death, gender, feelings and more, expressing the transitory nature of the universe. Qubibi’s first piece of generative art is still in use by the artist today, forming the basis of the majority of his subsequent work.
