Yoru no Kai Founded

“The Night Society” in English, Yoru no Kai, founded by Taro Okamoto and Kiyoteru Hanada, played a preeminent part in forming Japan’s post-war avant-garde. It influenced the development of the highly experimental Jikken Kobo and Gutai movements, both critical to the development of Japanese media art.
